Cookie Policy

Last updated: July 2026

1. What Are Cookies

Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They help us remember your preferences, keep you logged in, and understand how you use ORMELIA. This policy explains what cookies and similar technologies we use and why.

2. Cookies and Technologies We Use

ORMELIA uses the following categories of cookies and local storage:

Essential (authentication) cookies

These cookies are required for the service to function. They store your authentication token and session state, keeping you logged in between page loads. You cannot opt out of these, without them, you cannot use ORMELIA.

Local storage (language preference)

We store your preferred language in your browser's local storage (not a cookie). This allows the interface to appear in your chosen language each time you visit. This data never leaves your device.

Plausible Analytics (cookieless)

We use Plausible Analytics for privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics. Plausible does not set any cookies. It measures aggregated, anonymous page views without collecting personal data or tracking individuals. No consent is required because no personal data is collected.

3. No Cookie Consent Banner

You will notice that ORMELIA does not show a cookie consent banner. This is because we only use essential cookies (required for authentication) and a cookieless analytics service (Plausible). Under the ePrivacy Directive and GDPR, no consent banner is required when only essential cookies and cookieless analytics are used. We do not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or third-party marketing cookies.

4. What We Do Not Use

For full transparency, ORMELIA does NOT use:

  • Advertising or marketing cookies
  • Third-party tracking cookies
  • Cross-site tracking pixels
  • Google Analytics or similar cookie-based analytics
  • Social media tracking cookies
  • Cookie consent management platforms (not needed)

5. Cookie Duration

Essential authentication cookies persist for as long as you are logged in. When you log out, they are cleared. Your language preference in local storage persists until you clear your browser data or change your language in Settings.

6. Managing Cookies

You can control and delete cookies through your browser settings. Note that disabling essential cookies will prevent you from logging in or using ORMELIA. Most browsers allow you to:

  • View and delete existing cookies
  • Block cookies from specific sites
  • Clear all cookies and site data
  • Browse in private/incognito mode (cookies are cleared on close)

7. Related Policies
