1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using ORMELIA, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

2. Description of the Service

ORMELIA is an Administrative Copilot, a secure, intelligent platform that helps you organise documents, track receipts, manage subscriptions, and receive proactive alerts about deadlines and renewals. The service uses artificial intelligence to extract information from your uploaded files, generate personalised recommendations, simulate future scenarios, and help you plan ahead.

3. Eligibility and User Accounts

You must be at least 16 years old to use ORMELIA. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. You can register using an email and password or via Google single sign-on. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorised use of your account.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use ORMELIA to:

• Upload illegal, harmful, or fraudulent content
• Upload files that you do not have the right to store
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems or another user's data
• Use the service to violate any applicable laws or regulations
• Infringe on the intellectual property rights of others
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract the service's source code

5. Free Plan and Premium Subscription

ORMELIA offers two plans:

6. Billing and Payments

Premium subscriptions are billed in euros (€) through Stripe, our payment processor. You can choose monthly or yearly billing. Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing period unless you cancel. You may cancel at any time from your account settings, cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and you retain access until then. We do not offer refunds for partial billing periods. If a payment fails, Stripe will retry before suspending your Premium access.

7. AI-Powered Features

ORMELIA uses artificial intelligence in several ways:

• Document extraction (Premium only): When you upload a document (PDF, JPG, or PNG, up to 10 MB), AI reads the file to extract metadata such as the document type, issuer, issue date, and expiry date. The file and extracted data are used only for your benefit, never to train AI models.
• Proactive insights (all users): AI analyses your vault to generate personalised recommendations about upcoming deadlines, savings opportunities, and administrative tasks. Insight history is stored on your account to avoid repetitive suggestions.
• What-if simulations (Premium only): AI simulates the financial and administrative impact of hypothetical decisions (e.g., cancelling a subscription, moving, travelling) so you can make informed choices.
• 12-month roadmap and reports (Premium only): AI generates a forward-looking administrative plan and periodic reports based on your vault data.

8. Your Content and Data

You retain full ownership of all documents, receipts, and data you upload to ORMELIA. We do not sell your data to third parties. Your files are stored in private, encrypted storage and are only accessible via short-lived signed URLs that expire within minutes. We never expose your file URLs in the application interface.

9. Data Export

You can export all your data at any time from the Settings page in JSON or CSV format. This includes your documents, receipts, subscriptions, and alerts. See our Privacy Policy for details.

10. Account Deletion

You can permanently delete your account at any time from the Settings page by typing "DELETE" to confirm. Account deletion cancels any active Premium subscription immediately (with no refund for the current period), permanently erases all your documents, receipts, subscriptions, and alerts, and anonymises your account. This action cannot be undone. See our Privacy Policy and GDPR Information for details.

11. Service Availability

We strive to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may perform maintenance and updates at any time. We will make reasonable efforts to notify users of scheduled downtime.

12. Intellectual Property

The ORMELIA name, logo, software, and design are the property of ORMELIA. You may not copy, modify, or distribute the service without permission. You retain all rights to the content you upload.

13. Account Suspension

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or if required by law. We will make reasonable efforts to notify you before suspension, except in urgent cases.

14. Limitation of Liability

ORMELIA is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. We are not liable for the accuracy of AI-generated recommendations, they are advisory and should not replace professional advice.

15. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of ORMELIA after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms. The current version is always available on this page.

16. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of France. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of France, unless otherwise required by applicable consumer protection law.
